I'm so sick and tired of this exchange. It's all I hear around here at the University. Random person X suddenly sees their friend Y, and this exchange takes place 9 times out of 10 before they each take their separate routes. Nothing is accomplished. Nothing is said. It's annoying.

Thats a "Conversa de merda" here in Portugal... As you guys say in your native language, "Shit Conversation"

Just wait till you hit the business world.. it becomes this:

Person X: Hey!
Person Y: Hey! How've you been!?
Person X: Not too bad, thanks for ...
Pesron Y: *GONE*

lol or this was a favorite moment of history in my life.

We (my company) had been sent to this retarded seminar.. they taught us that when someone asks you, "How are you doing?", you reply, "GREAT!" and smile REAL BIG...

*sigh* I get it sure sure.. that's cool... far from reality, but a nice goal to aim for. What really got me was when the VP of our company (who is also notorious for the "How ya doing *disappear*") asked me how I'm doing a few months later, I said,

"busy day... but all in all i'm doing pretty damn good!" then I Smiled -> but not a -> xD

He looked at me and said,

"No, Ed, say GREAT!"...

I laughed.. but I don't think he realizes it was at him lol

yes.. very true.. it's too bad he prefers plastics over sencerity.. but.. oh well
