Will HTML5 websites be optimized by search engines just as good as traditional HTML4 websites?

Cool. Any goals in mind? Perhaps creating your own porno website? :P

Now I know why BC keeps asking HTML questions that I never answer.

Sure you aren't. No one is.

And my projects involve possible career options.

Can't we all just use Dreamweaver and not worry about the fine details of HTML and CSS? Any drawbacks other than the cost?

To go professional, there is no substitute to learning the "fine details" and there are no shortcuts. And the cost is the least of the drawbacks to using Dreamweaver.

Then what are the drawbacks other than the user's lack of coding skill? What would be the difference for, say, having a typical website using Dreamweaver versus all coded by hand?

It's like using instant mashed potatoes instead of making your own.

The instant will just never be quite as good (although I LOVE instant mashed potatoes. This was actually a terrible example due to my undying love for instant mashed potatoes and instant chicken gravy). Perhaps Zorro can weigh in.

How about flash-based software that converts the final product into HTML5?

ONE YEAR LATER:

Apple is flourishing in sales.

However, a share of Apple went down $160 from last year. Zorro called it. Will AAPL stock soar once again this year??

Vanity side note: Looking at the above posts, learning HTML and CSS by hand was the best thing that happened to me in 2013. I'll never touch WYSIWYG editors again, ever.
