Coding Accomplishments

Countless times on MSN messenger I recall a "I'm just programming" response to my "Hey, what's up?!" ... (BM & Zorro).
<br><br>
What are you actually coding and what is the function your works will have? What tasks are you going after or what have you accomplished regarding coding?
<br><br>
Did you make a Flash-based game, did you create a little database, did you or are you making a website or do you just code for the fun of it?

I'm a senior level web developer. It's my job. You will all get to see the project I've been working on for the past year when it's launched publicly within the next 3 or 4 months.

Got anything public to show us right now, Zorro? As for me, I don't work on anything too important, at least for now. I aim to make it my career, though.

If you want a few examples, I spend most of my time with c# for both actual projects and constant learning. I've released a few basic tools with it: http://cixsquad.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=44 (most of them suck and some of those download links are actually broken... I'll have to fix that). I'm currently working on probably my biggest projects yet: 1.) a utility to resort and organize the DFBarracks map database and 2.) a timesheet manager for my mom's workplace.

For school projects, I currently use Java (or rather, a derivative of Java) in an environment called Processing. It's supposed to be a learning tool for absolute beginner programmers, but it's pretty stupid. It's mainly used to create algorithmic art (i.e. drawing shapes to the screen using #'s), but if you're going to learn Java-like syntax, why not actually start in Java and develop real-world applications?! (If I let Zorro respond to this paragraph, he'll have a field day)

I'm also trying to learn HTML/CSS a bit so I can learn ASP.net later on and such. Nothing of note there.

Awesome. When will MMH be back up? It would awesome to have a huge DF2 map database there although its players are fading away.

Sweet. Give us a hint on some of your projects... I'm intrigued.
