DF2 Night

Postby Pause » February 10th, 2011, 2:29 pm

True, the squad is moving into other titles, but we all still have the ability to play df2 (our other common bond). So let's rip up the servers.. there's still a few other squads in DF2, let's keep them cowering in fear. Let's shoot for one or two nights a week. Shoot, if we get enough together regularly, we might as well throw up our old server. I can think of a few ppl outside of CiX that would love to see that happen! So vote it up.. let's see what night works best for us! :salut:

I've voted for Thursday (I know I can choose more than one day). Since spring is coming up, I won't even be here a lot times during the weekend. I also expect to disappear a bit this summer, so may not be here at all. But I want my weekends for flying and my other adventures. Thursday is ideal for me.

Edit: I also want to be rested up for Saturdays, so Friday night would mean drowsy Saturdays... So that's why I chose Thursday.

Thanks pal!!! I indirectly caused my DF2 to die. I had my cell phone by the PC and forgot to shut it off before I went to bed. Mom was trying to sleep, battery was dying so it was making a noise... Mom thinks it's the PC and boom, she shuts the surge protector off, ruining the hard drive (thankfully the contents aren't totally destroyed).

All I have to say is I miss making maps.

I always liked your maps, BC. I haven't made one myself in ages. I guess the more I think about it, mapmaking was my favorite part of DF2. A pity so many servers kept hosting shoddy maps. But look at what we have now - shoddy servers, shoddy maps, and shoddy players. :(

We only have a shoddy server and shoddy players. Because we have my maps, which aren't shoddy. :D

Thanks bro, and I agree. Map making is the best part of DF2. It's a shame now though... The crowd isn't what it used to be to appreciate them. I should have a little "BC Map Pack" or something... Must recover all of the BMS files first. Zorro, I remember when I was 13 I downloaded your map pack. Epic stuff.

Anyone have any missing maps? I built one in September of 2006 in honor of Steve Irwin when he passed. It was like a little zoo but it was so cool... CQB map, enclosed. All what remains of it today are screen shots and memories... I have no clue where the file went. It's lost. :(
