its all fine and pretty, touch screens, apps, etc... but the "ooo coool" factor wears off FAST when reality and productivity kick in. Wireless keyboards/mice for example, they're cute and all, but its really kinda nice knowing that ur not going to be scrambling for batteries at that critical moment in a game. And I'm with you bullet, the whole cloud movement really cuts off the whole software piracy thing.

I absolutely HATE the panel design thing. HATEEEEE IT!!!

Good God, why do they have to move to stupid Tablet/iPod standards? Leave that crap to Apple and let the social-network geeks with spiky hair and square black glasses have their little Twitter fun.

Stick to what you do best, i.e. a fully-operational OS in which we nerds can run software, play games, etc. Good GOD!!!! This just irritates the crap out of me.

It will pass, eventually they'll get sick of it... the shiny newness will wear off. We still run ATX Mobos, no? lol

Zorro calmed me down and once again corrected my knee-jerk reaction.

Either that or he lobotomized me.

Crap.

I will keep a diary of my Windows 8 experience in here.

So far, I'm one day in and it has been dreadful. The apps and Metro screen are useless, but you have to use them to access anything that isn't a desktop icon. There are tons of shortcuts and mouse gestures to memorize, and I keep accidentally bringing up stupid full-screen apps that won't go away (CLOSE BUTTON, MICROSOFT?!).

Pause is trying to help, but I grow weary.
