I've had to give up skydiving until such time as I have a major improvement to my health (i.e. major surgery); my reasons for giving it up became apparent today when I collapsed in a restaurant and woke up on the floor with every waiter in the restaurant asking if I was OK (EMS arrived and everything). Obviously Zorro is never content to not be flying something, and this is one of my other hobbies which started 10 years ago with flying the R/C airplanes. I started flying helis about 4 years ago, but "took a break" due to financial and personal circumstances. This is my newest "happy fleet" that I started just recently. :D

Wow, Z... That's crazy. I'm glad you woke up.

Nice fleet. My old youth pastor was into that too and had little cameras to put on his crafts... It was pretty neat seeing the videos.

Someone once asked me if I fly RC Helis. I said no.

I would say no too.. closest thing I've done is destroy an airhogs pos. Good thing too.. cuz I imagine I'd be out A LOT more money if I trashed one of those. :S

Just a rotor blade on one of those can easily be a year's paycheck.

That entire video is just utter stupidity, though. An accident? Yes. But I wouldn't even consider the guy pulling the cable at 1:44 to be even remotely to blame for that accident. You simply don't fly a helicopter like that into a space with manned guy wires. I wouldn't have been at all surprised if the accident would have happened even if the guy didn't pull the cable. The only guy there who appears to have had a brain was the cameraman who ran shortly before the crash and then later jumped into the cockpit to get the pilot out.
