How incredibly nerdy. If the situation was real and I was the dude who got caught cheating only to have my PC trashed, I'd bring the guy who threw it it to small claims court and win. Can you imagine a geek giving the judge a "I smashed his computer because he was cheating on Counter Strike" defense? Haha, wouldn't fly, unless there was some sort of contract in the tournament that permitted other players to destroy a cheater's computer.

On another note, I remember going to a DF2 LAN party at my old church back during a New Years Eve party in 2003/2004 (maybe a year later). I found it kind of weird seeing a bunch of people playing a shooting game at church. :?

I'm not sure if it's real, but it's funny. I've been to several private LAN parties and they can be fun, but a lot of them have a lot of cussing and vulgarities (if you think gaming with voice chat has lots of cussing, just imagine a LAN party without any language rules). I know if I was hosting a public LAN party that required an entrance fee, I'd make all who enter sign an agreement prior to entering that if they're caught cheating their rig will be destroyed or confiscated. I'd have an attorney write something up for me to make sure everything was Kosher.

:ugeek:

As a side note, I can certainly agree that a LAN party at a church, especially for a first person shooter, is quite strange and I daresay inappropriate.
