MVP: September

Hello, all.

It's been quite a long time since I last awarded the quarterly CiX Forums MVP award to anyone. That's all about to change.

Before I get on with the ceremony, let me share with you the criteria which I evaluate when making this decision:

    * Post Count
    * Quality of Posts
    * Handsomeness
    * Personal Bias and Relation to Poster

------------------4th Place: Newborn--------------------

Sluggishly placing dead last, our favorite Puerto Rican suffered mostly from self-inflicted wounds in this decision. His recent surge in post count lifted him slightly from a pathetic summer quarter, but his lack of performance is troubling. I also have it in the back of my mind that he likes the Walking Dead and Breaking Bad, but I'm not sure. Confirming this would put him in a favorable position for the next round.

------------------3rd Place: Pause--------------------

Pause rolls in at third with a hardy, quirky, and deep-voiced persona. While his assumed role of leadership merits a higher finish, he has slacked off severely as of late when it comes to response time and following PassShed installation directions. He battled Newborn fiercely for last place. Ultimately, Pause's future looks promising with his recent acquisition of Walking Dead fandom.

------------------Runner Up: Blackcat--------------------

When it comes to managing post count, look no further than our dear friend, Blackcat. BC defines the art of necroposting and resurrecting fairly old threads. He tries his hardest to keep the forums rolling, mainly by proposing very open-ended questions hoping to originate intelligent, deep discussion. His efforts are usually in vain due to the collectively relaxed attitude of the CiX forums, but I commend him for trying. Blackcat remains somewhat of a mystery to most of us (although I have him mostly figured out), and it is this personality shield that placed him second-best.

------------------MVP: Zorro--------------------

Zorro isn't one to boast in regards to post count, but what Zorro lacks in quantity he makes up for in quality. A typical Zorro post is supported by solid grammar (not as good as mine), quality content, and semi-successful humor (again, not quite as good as mine). I look forward to a continuation of the "Society in Crisis" series. The swordsman's activity has remained fairly steady over the past several months, and he has done a great job of addressing necessary posts/issues in a timely fashion. Let's also not forget that he maintains the forums. Finally, his support of the development of PassShed placed him above the rest.

I hope everyone enjoyed this year's ceremony. Please keep in mind that acceptance speeches will be factored into my decision-making process in the next round. As always, good luck with bike-building, accounting, Puerto Rico stuff, and flying.

Thanks,

Bullet Magnet
