I'm getting my brother a couple of "Save Phace" masks for boating during the winter (horrible wind chill when you're going 50MPH on the water in the winter).

I'm getting my sister a really nice pair of those cute fur boots the college girls like to wear.

I got my mom the entire DVD collection of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

I'm thinking of getting my dad the entire DVD collection of the Columbo TV series.

For myself I'm getting another R/C heli for my fleet. :D

I knew it! What will the specs be like? Be careful though... Remember that guy that died this year?

Those Ugg boots are cool. I'm sure your sis will go nutz over them! All of the girls at my college loved them too. They're pretty awesome.

Oh, I hope your family doesn't read this forum to discover the ruined surprises. ;)

I'm going to be getting two helis actually.

I already have the new Trex 150 on back order, which is supposed to arrive mid December. I enjoy the micro helis since they're cheap to crash and I can fly them anywhere. For my next big heli I'm thinking about getting a Gaui X5 kit. I haven't decided what electronics (servos, FBL unit, etc.) I'd put in it yet, but regardless it'd cost another $300-700 to complete it (total cost will be somewhere around $1100). But I'm in no hurry - I have plenty of helis to enjoy in the meantime.

:D

Wow, those are awesome. Are RC helicopters hard to fly? Do you ever get nervous flying a machine that's worth hundreds of dollars and any wrong twitch of the controller can cause it plummeting to earth?

They're very difficult to learn to fly. Most pilots spend weeks or even months just learning how to hover one safely. I get an adrenaline rush every time I maiden a heli, but I wouldn't say I get nervous. It's fun but expensive. It requires a lot of patience and years of practice to be able to do some of the maneuvers I'm doing now. I'm now one of the best R/C heli pilots in the region and am hoping to eventually pick up some sponsorships.

Sounds very challenging and intriguing. You should videotape some of your skillz and put it on YouTube. :)

My brother put up a video the other day of me flying one of my micro helis. Sadly, he recorded it in wide angle on his GoPro, and wide angle + micro = hard to see. But nevertheless, here's the video.
