Okonkwo is a farmer from Uganda. He sells rice and people buy it. Business is good when all of the sudden, a huge plane flies by and drops hundreds of boxes filled with food, parachuting down as he pulls his hair out knowing that this new stock of foreign food will hurt his business as people will no longer need him until their supplies run out. Therefore, everyone (including Okonkwo) becomes dependent on this plane dropping goodies in an instant.
These food invasions must stop. The slate must be cleared. These economies will build themselves if we stop intervening like this. Why can't we provide these people with the necessary equipment to encourage and sustain economic growth instead of simply giving them free stuff which hinders their economic growth?
