how fast does a bb from a bb gun fly?

Here in Portugal, the current legal max speed of a BB with 0.20 gram is at 375 feet per second +- 256 miles per second ... We are talking about the initial speed of course... after leaving the barrel, the BB speed decrease fast. A BB, at 375 feet per second can hit targets (a basket ball for example) at 60 meters (196.85 feet) , easy... I have a M40 at 400 fps thou Shhhhhhhh XD
